Gender Female
Occupation Writer, artist, owner of Chalmoncha's Chicken Project
Location Nellysford, Virginia
Introduction When I was nine, I started Scribbled, a newsletter reporting the events of my family's Virginia homestead. Scribbled is now in its fifth year of existence and going strong as a digital newsletter, with my blog as a side branch. In early 2023, I co-founded the Weekly Owen, a newspaper about Living Earth School, an outdoor/survival skills class. It was a huge hit with my fellow students and the instructors. It's still being published and has led to a video interview by the Living Earth photographer and publicity agent. Since late 2020, I've been running Chalmoncha's Chicken Project, selling eggs laid by my pride and joy, a flock of 8 chickens for whom I've laughed, cried, and crawled on knees and elbows through the mud for a few wonderful years. I've also self-published six mini zines featuring my own artwork and poetry, including Meeting Alex, Our Whole World, and Night Light and am currently working on a short graphic novel. Interests I love to write, draw, journal, and create. I also enjoy making videos, keeping chickens, and reading graphic novels and other books. I also love reading other people's blogs and writing my own.
