Introduction Jan and I have been renovating our house here since March 2004. When Broadband was installed in the village in 2006, plans were made to emigrate and we finally packed our English bags, and settled here in January 2007. We've since finished restoring the house (more-or-less). Last August (after the lounge floor was finally finished), I started cycling again. All through the winter I trained alone, trying to regain my saddle seat and build strength into the legs. The hamstring and lower-back injuries that I had suffered in 1997 and which stopped me training seriously since then, managed to hold together, despite the cold winter rides. By March 2010, I felt strong enough to join one of the local cycling Clubs - 'Taupont Cyclisme' (T.C.). A more welcoming and friendly bunch of guys you couldn't ask for. I completed my fist cycle race in March and nearly died a death. I have written a couple of race reports which have been received quite well by my family (who are not normally so generous about my writing efforts), so I decided to publish them in this here Blog. Feedback would be welcomed. Let me know what you think (be gentle and generous please).
Interests I cycle, design and make hardwood furniture, have just about finished renovating my house in Brittany with my beautiful wife Jan.

If your whole body were a hot air balloon, would you stop eating spicy food?

How random is that question? You've just seen my new photo and are likening me to a balloon! How could you?
