About me

Occupation Just learning: living joyfully!
Location Mildura, Victoria, Australia
Introduction Software, process & form designer; mathematician, composer, song-writer, poet, artist, gardener, technical writer, systems & business analyst, statistician, linguist, translator, teacher, learner, parent, mentor, friend. I read, write & speak English, Malay, French, German, Spanish & Arabic, some better than others ;-) In the 60s: I was active on the radical Lot's Wife student newspaper at Monash University. Formal studies in pure maths, physics and philosophy. Later, I led & learnt from graphics, music & programming Special Interest Groups for the Melbourne PC User Group. Working in the software industry, I created writing templates and styles, and taught effective writing skills. I take a whole-of-life approach to learning & the arts, since life is so short that specialists forget what they're missing. For each of us anything is possible - with a little help from our friends! So I enjoy helping & encouraging others to the excellence that only they can achieve. Recently retired to the bush, to the sun and fun of Mildura by the Murray River: an UN-tree-change, leaving our suburban jungle for an open river flat.
Interests people, music, art, poetry, languages, bird-song, gardening, social justice, fitness, swimming, design, textiles

You've been invited to a fancy ball but the only thing you have to wear is an orange wooly jumper. What shoes do you wear?

Since I'm not wearing trousers (you DID say that the ONLY thing I have to wear is that orange woolly jumper!), who would notice my shoes - or care anyway?
