| Introduction | I am Mrs. Burks, the deaf ed. 1st and 2nd grade teacher. I have been teaching for 2 years, but up in Dallas where I was born and raised. I recently got married and his work allowed us to move down to the Houston area. Don't tell my Dallas friends... but I kind of like it here. I went to school at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches Tx. Where I majored in Deaf Education. I love what I do and couldn't see myself anywhere else. All forms of sign language are absolutely beautiful, and I am beyond blessed to use my talents to teach kids. |
| Interests | I am a huge cat lover. I have one feline friend name Millie who is quite the talker. I also really enjoy cooking with my husband. He really knows his way around a kitchen! How lucky am I?! I am also growing to enjoy many things my husband is interested in, like cars, trucks, and hunting! |
