| Introduction | 62-year-old former Fred, now sidelined by disease. I first noticed bicycle racing via the Tour de France almost 51 years ago. Later, I would come to France and Rik van Looy would crash out of the Tour. Then I thought I was jinxing Raymond Poulidor until I realized he was taking care of that himself. Retired to Paris (finally) last year, just in time to run into this "fine mess." Thought I'd put my familiarity with the Tour, France, and French to some peaceful use here on TbV. |
