| Introduction | I have been designing and creating since I was a very little girl (nicknamed Fishbait). The first creative project that I remember was a pair of knee high boots made entirely of soft squishy mud patted onto my own legs. I was so thrilled with their beauty that I ran into the house to show them off to my mother (who was less than thrilled and recommended that they only be worn outside...) Throughout my life I have continued to delight in the joy of making and creating new things, and believe that there is no such thing as a mistake, you should just delight in the fact that you have created a new variation! A few years ago (about 2 lovely children ago) I was busy hosting and designing crafts for television shows on HGTV, DIY, the Discovery Channel and TNN, on television shows such as Aleene's Creative Living, Home Matters, Our Place, Hand Made by Design, Carol Duvall and QVC. And Once upon a time I designed a wide variety of projects for companies such as Butterick, Simplicity, McCalls, Vogue and for magazines including Womans Day, Better Homes and Gardens, Family Circle and more. Recently I have been designing and playing with all things felty, recycle-a-ble and fabulous! |
