Introduction	Since I can remember, I have loved animals. It never mattered whether it was a banana slug or a moose, a wolf spider or a newt, I have loved every kind of creature I have encountered. It all started many, many moons ago in a little town in Maine, where the deer population far outnumbered humans. I'd spend hour upon hour, day upon day wandering through the evergreen forests, finding creatures, learning to recognize animal tracks, and basically absorbing the sights and sounds.
