| Introduction | I’m Barbara, originally from Italy. In 2013 my husband and I moved to the United States — something that still feels a little surreal. Today our family includes an 18-year-old son and an 8-year-old daughter, and life is beautifully busy. But there was one thing I couldn’t find here the way I knew it: the simple magic of Italian baking. The smell of fresh bread in the morning. The pastries that turn an ordinary afternoon into a small celebration. The recipes that carry stories, seasons, and memories. So I started baking the way I learned in Italy — simply, carefully, and with respect for tradition. That’s how Barbara’s Delights was born: a small Italian bakery where bread rises slowly, desserts are made with real ingredients, and every sweet carries a little piece of the place I come from. |
