| Introduction | I am a wife, mom, Mimi/Gabba and responsible pet owner. After 25 years, I retired from a career I loved as an elementary school librarian in order to have cervical spine surgery. Once I recovered, I felt absolutely lost with all this 'free' time on my hands. That's when I started my blog Once Upon a Time & Happily Ever After to record my journey toward rediscovering life after retirement. |
| Interests | So many!! I enjoy reading, writing, crafting, scrapbooking, hiking, swimming and just being outdoors. Most of all, I love being with PC and my family. |
| Favorite movies | I love anything about World War II and so many of my favorite movies take place during that time period. Among my favorite movies are "Life is Beautiful", and "Schindler's List" and "Saving Private Ryan." I also enjoy sweet love stories like "When Harry Met Sally" or "Sleepless in Seattle" or "Shakespeare in Love." |
| Favorite music | Sadly, I don't listen to music much unless I am on a road trip and then I bounce between 80s and 90s pop/rock and 90s country on Sirius. My favorite voices are those of my grandangels singing. |
| Favorite books | Ever changing!! I love children's fiction and picture books and try to read the Texas Bluebonnet nominees each year. I have an online book club, "Come Read with Me" on Facebook. We read a book a month together. Join us!! |
