About me

Introduction	We are a family-operated market garden with over an acre in production. We use organic methods of growing - no pesticides or herbicides, cover-cropping, crop rotation and composted horse manure. We're suburbanites-turned-boondockers! We traded our postage stamp in the city for 5, tree-less acres on the flat plains of Oklahoma. We're learning about ourselves as we learn how to take care of the land. Surprisingly, I'd much rather curl up in the middle of winter with a seed catalog than Land's End! Seed catalog addiction is serious and surely there must be a help group out there somewhere!! We often find ourselves wondering, "Did I really look like this all day???!!" We knew we'd turned a corner when we visited the local John Deere dealer. Maybe some day...:) Our garden has provided numerous teachable moments... when we considered "faith the size of a mustard seed can move mountains"....do you know how extremely small a mustard seed is????? Now we do.... The journey has been an adventure and we're sure there's more ahead. Thanks for stopping by and peeking into a slice of our life!
