| Introduction | I am a painter working toward my MFA in Painting at Indiana University. In 1984 I graduated from Lower Merion High School, having studied art and design with Ms. Susan Jewett, whose encouragement helped me find my interest in visual art. In Boston I went to Tufts University and the Boston Museum School and got my BA in Comparative Religion and BFA in 1991. In 1997 I enrolled at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, receiving a Certificate in Painting in 2002. At PaFA I studied with Bo Bartlett, Anthony Visco, Doug Martenson, and Scott Noel, each of whom provided valuable insight into the theory and practice of painting. |
