| Introduction | I was born in London, raised in Vancouver, Mexico and Jamaica, set off on my own in New York, studied in Madrid and Paris before becoming a philosophical nomad, living in a Brazilian favela, Haiti under Baby Doc and many Caribbean islands. My purpose - pleasure, making a living (as a leather craftsman, English teacher, postcard maker and translator) and one day sitting down to write about it all, which is what I'm now doing. |
