| Introduction | I guess I’m an old soul of sorts. My mama always said I was born 100 years too late. My earliest memory of falling in love with all things old was 3rd or 4th grade. My class visited the historical Scribner Home in New Albany, IN. The bedroom of one of the daughters stood out to me as being very plain and quaint. Honestly, I can’t remember every detail, but I remember a doll and feeling very comfortable there. From then on I had my mom purchase every Little House on the Prairie book available and started yearning for an older, simpler way of life. Flash forward 30 years and my husband, Billy, and I begin another chapter as “empty nesters” (well kind of). We have 2 beautiful children, that are turning into even more beautiful adults, with, of course, the sweetest granddaughters in the world. Bella, my oldest granddaughter is showing an interest in old things…. Maybe the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree… |
