Introduction The intention of this blog is to post a weekly essay where I weigh in on what might be considered a controversial subject. Rarely will you find these essays completely skewed one way or another, but if they are, the intent is to build one side of a discourse, and I am asking you, kind reader, to post a thoughtful response that refutes my argument in a way that is at least instructional, because I cannot claim to know it all, although I may at times sound like a know-it-all. You don't always have to refute though. Enthusiastic agreement is also encouraged.

I have strong opinions, and this seems like a sound way to develop my opinions sentence by sentence and paragraph by paragraph. An opinion without substance has no merit. Furthermore, opinions are shaped by personal experience, even though they may often seem objective.

Nietzsche abhored Christianity and believed that the church sought to control the sensual drives of humanity because a lesser man had no ability to control his own urges. Of course, his father was deeply religious, and Nietzsche likely died from Syphilis. His opinions were born from adolescent rebellion and a desire to get laid.
