Do you know which instructions use the microcode ROM in the Pentium? The Pentium can execute two instructions in parallel under some circumstances, one in the U-pipe, and one in the more restricted V-pipe. I assume that none of the instructions supported by the V-pipe are microcoded, since there is only one microcode ROM and I guess it can't be read twice per cycle.
