Congratulations on the article!
It is very good to read something good and profound. I'm an electronics technician (and electrical engeneering student) and I didn't even thought it was possible to reverse-engineering of an IC.
But a sad point: I am from Brazil, and here we have only one chip factory, which produces only two chip models. If I wanted to replicate this 1998 model, I would have to have it manufactured outside the country, because here we have no way, for now.
