What is a total riot is that nowhere in this massive article do the words “socialist,” “communist,” “Marxist,” or “Leninist” appear even once. The economy is in shambles, and politics is responsible for at least a significant part of it, and Mugabe is semi sorta responsible for some of the politics in some vague and episodic manner, but beyond that it’s a total f*g mystery to the writer that the blame for the collapse should be thudded at the feet of socialism.
