Kevin, what's up with a fundraiser for a "Irish" parade at a Italian restaurant? Isn't McKinnons pub a block away? What about the Maple cafe? Seems odd. Can't wait to see where they hold the "Italian" St Florian parade fundraiser, maybe the Polish Home!

Haven't you heard,Everyone is Irish on St. Patrick's Day. Jimmy and the staff at Salute have always been supportive of the Parade as well of many other charitable events. It is not about the nationality , but more about being supportive of Hartford and its community.

I think anyone is welcome to show their support for the parade with any donation. And look at the attendance, it might be a parade celebrating a Saint of Irish origin but it draws a much wider participation than "just Irish"

And to make you feel better that the Irish community is inclusive, the first fundraiser was actually held at the Polish Home, so you don't have to wait for St. Florian.
