ARE there going to be more arrests? They were saying there would be in January, and since then, zip. Judging by the Courant, you wouldn't even know the investigation is still going on. I had to go to the NY Times just to find out the end date for the grand jury is this Friday, not April 24th.

The State knows Hartford is a mess and might end up taking over Hartford down the road, but for now they are trying to subtly help it heal by removing Eddie and anyone they can linked to him. Why do you think they arrested Eddie a few months before the elections? That failed so stay tuned for the States next move.

Before the elections? They arrested him in January '09, two months AFTER the elections.

you're right it was January, however they announced his house was searched and a claims of corruption right before elections. Even the Democratic party expressed being upset how it was timed right before the election. The state let that leak in hopes it would cost him the election and when it didn't they made the arrest. They are not done with him yet either.

I am sure hoping you are right, James!

The Courant readers are whining over the dismissal of charges hearing being postponed, as if that somehow shows the judge is on Eddie's side -- which is dumb, if the judge was on his side, he would have held the hearing tomorrow and dismissed the charges, not postponed it three weeks.

The RTC may as well drafted a letter that said the world was flat. They have no power. As for O'Connell he was, is and always will be a blowhard. What did he ever do to help the City?
