As I expected, the Court took appropriate action today. We shall now all see the quality of Mayor Perez's "leadership" between this coming Monday and July,as he is commanded to show up every day from 10-5 for jury selection.

Bruce, at what point are plea bargains no longer legally allowed? I would imagine once trial starts Eddie can't make any deals? How about after jury selection?

When I did criminal defense plea bargains were done even in the course of the trial....but in a highly visible case like this, I thinkthe State Prosecutors will probably not be inclined to plea bargain with Mayor Perez's attorney once the evidence starts.

Thanks Bruce.
My guess is Eddie is with his lawyer right now talking about options. Take the best deal you can get Eddie and kiss the wife goodbye. Pay day has arrived.

Desperate times call for desperate frivolous contradictory nonsensical motions... I applaud Judge Dewey.

[Image] All of the motions submitted by the defense team for our allegedly corrupt Mayor Eddie A. Perez were denied this morning.
Perez was ordered by Judge Dewey to report for jury selection Monday morning and was told not to make any plans other than attending court until at least July.
The week is young though, plenty of time for more frivolous motions before court proceedings actually begin Monday
