Kevin that's a beautiful and touching tribute to your father. I was a little worried about your absence myself. I'm glad to hear you got some much deserved rest. God bless and Happy New Year.

What a great tribute to your Dad, Kevin! I have a feeling that both he and your mother have had a lot to do with the man you have become.

Kevin, I too was getting a little concern of your whereabouts, but kind of of figured with all the crap that was happening in Htfd, you needed a break, hey I lived there for many years, and worked there too, so, I know the feeling. Love the tribute to your father, I too grew up in a similar family household, my father has been gone now 18. 19 years now, and still miss and think of him often. Thankyou for your reminder.

Kevin.

I don't agree with you some times, but a avid reader of your posts and comments. But this post about your father touched me. I had the same type of dad and man I miss him. I can only hope that I come close to have the same kind of influence on my kids that your dad and mine had on us. Happy New Year.

Happy New Year Sir. Love of a fsther is critical and what makes loving, positive, productive adults. I was Daddy's little girl and when he died it was devasting, i know how yoy feel. I am blessed with a WINDERFUL husband who is an AMAZING FATHER!

Too many children are fatherkess and don't have what we had. As a society we need to concentrate and mentor thise children to become positive, productive contributors to society.

Dear Kevin; Glad to hear you are well. What a touching tribute to your Dad. I too was blessed with such a father and like another poster commented, I am blessed with such a husband. However, I agree with you that a lot of the trouble that we see in todays' world is related to the LACK of such wonderful role models for this generations children. May your Dad rest in peace and may your mother continue to carry on with the strength you described.
