This game looks incredible. I've never seen a game with better looking animations. The world looks incredible and original. I hope this makes it to the pc as well.
the animation is great. It seems that the level is very challenging. And I still have question about aiming the weapon. It seems that it doesn't just shoot front.
I work at a gaming company and sent this around to the whole team. I absolutely love it and was blown away by the subtle polish in the movement. Looks like so much fun I wish you guys all the best!
Wow dudes! this game blowed up my head! Really want to play it, but I don't have a 360. Is there a way that we could have this on Steam? The visual work is amazing, it's like World of Goo meets Patapon and Dimmu Borgir at the background makes it ultraepic. Great work!

Fellas - just wanted to drop by and say NICE WORK. The new trailer was far more effective at jump-starting my day than my 'bold' coffee. Keep it going.

PLEASE tell us the game's soundtrack will resemble the trailer. Only a tiny handful of games respect good, proper metal. Might I recommend something by Ron Jarzombek.

Out of curiosity, will there be any prints and the like of the art for sale? The design is absolutely spectacular, and I'd love to get some of those shots on my wall.
SO EPIC. I'm also wondering if the soundtrack will be styled similarly to the Dimmu track you used. It fit perfectly. If you go down the metal route, it would be totally awesome if you got them to write you some original tunes... another band that you might want to talk to about a soundtrack is Machinae Supremacy... they're very good at videogamey metal, and did a soundtrack previously for the game Jets'n'Guns which you can check out for free at their site. They're really cool guys, and I'm sure would be happy to work with you on music if you needed it.
Also, +1 for a linux port, though I know it's not always possible. I'm one of those people who would definitely settle for the game being playable in wine, and I'm sure I'm not alone. I hope you'll consider it, at least. I'll be happy to put my money where my mouth is if you go that extra mile.
I'll be keeping an eye on the project, keep up the amazing work!
Thank you so much everyone for all your positive feedback. We will be answering a lot of your questions in upcoming posts, so make sure you stay tuned! \m/

So a friend linked me to your trailer yesterday except it was on Youtube.
I check today to link somebody else, and I notice "Shadow Planet Productions" (I'm assuming that's you) forced the video to be taken down.
Uh, doesn't that seem a little... counter-productive? The idea of a trailer is to "get the word out". Search any game or movie on Youtube and you'll find hundreds of people who all uploaded the same trailer.
Just sayin'. Your game looks cool and all, but that particular move seems to be pretty silly.
The reason we asked to have the trailer removed from youtube at first is because it leaked a couple of days before the planed HD exclusive premiere we had planned for GameTrailers.com. We also wanted to have a blog post ready to go with the release.
We're not opposed to anyone posting the trailer on youtube (or anywhere else for that matter), it's just that we weren't quite ready to make our big splash - and I really wanted the trailer to premiere in HD.
In hindsight, we probably should have left it alone... In fact, shortly after filing the complaint, I wrote to youtube and told them to forget about it and keep the trailer on - they went ahead and removed it anyway. Oh well, live and learn.
I'm willing to put my $15 into the pot right now for a pre-order, even if I don't get the game for three years. And even if a refund isn't guaranteed... because I believe this project will succeed amazingly.
I bet I'm not the only one, either -- who else is with me?

Fantastic visual style; It reminds me of World of Goo meets Hunted Forever in multiple ways. I'd be interested to know more about the engine you've developed here and the team in general, too. Like, I want to believe you're using a lot of vector graphics rather than rasterising things to look that way. I saw something about overcoming technical challenges, after all, and that's a significant one.
Also, I referred the trailer and this game to Frank Earl, so he may contact you about helping along a Linux version once he finishes porting Europa Universalis; please! Please write portable code... If the gameplay has half the impact of this trailer, it would easily be worth $20-$25 to me.
This game looks great. However, I'd like to show the video to a friend who can't watch flash videos - could you post the video in a more standard format?

If they ever release a PC/Linux version, I'd happily pay $60 for it...
[Image] Here's a little history of our project so far:
In 2007, Joe Olson and I discussed the idea of collaborating on a video game project. We imagined a side-scroller that would combine old school arcade style game play with feature film quality design and animation. Thus was born Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet.
[Image] Soon after, Joe, a team of industry veterans, and I formed a partnership to begin development. A few months later, on August 27, 2007, we released our first trailer on-line. Yes, it's been a while, but by no means have we been standing still. Since starting the project, we developed the story arc and interstitials; we created environments, creatures, and mind-bending effects animation; we’ve blocked out levels, came up with new, exciting and challenging game designs; we resolved technical issues and made several technological breakthroughs.
We are excited to share some of the progress in this new trailer, which consists entirely of in-game footage. It conveys the scope, style, and breadth of the experience we aim to bring to the player.
The trailer also features the track “Blood Hunger Doctrine” from the album Death Cult Armageddon by Dimmu Borgir, used here with gracious permission by the band and its record label, Nuclear Blast.
[Image] We are hoping that the release of this trailer will bring forth potential financial partners who share our passion for Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet and who can help us bring this title to the marketplace.
We strongly believe that Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet is going to be a hit, and the few who have glimpsed the progress unanimously agree. Twenty minutes of footage from the game were shown recently to attendees at the Industry Giants symposium in Austin, Texas, and the audience responded with great enthusiasm. You can read some of their comments here.
