That interview was so damn interesting! While listening to that mix, that actually made my night!

Inspired me to go and buy some vinyls! Respect to Loefah, Kryptic minds...everyone associated with this article!

Incredible interview. Tough to express in words how much I agree with Loe, Si and Martin here - except to say I do so wholeheartedly.

That Martin was able to wind a set down and truly feel ‘this is it, this is the gig I’ve been waiting for.’ is so encouraging.

For me, subtlety, vibe, space and emotion (had to youtube "opus dei" - it's fucking beautiful) will always trump the jump-up element of dubstep.

Just about to put the mix on. I've a feeling it will re-kindle my love for dubstep.

Amazing interview. I actually found it really moving on a personal level because I have my own issues with confidence and for Loefah - who I really respect - to be so open about feeling the same thing is inspiring.

Really good read. Loefah's comments about "Disko Rekkah" were interesting. I really appreciate the "Stick to your guns" attitude shown by all connected to this. I'm checking out the Kryptic Minds mix now. Excellent stuff. Big ups all around.

Wow,
A beast of an interview. Must of been fun just shooting the shit with some excellent musicians...

Also, totally agree re: dub as a spatial sound/process. Not some simplisitic reggae style..

'bout time we acknoledged our roots, but always with caution, inspiration only always forward never backward.

I like their tracks but I'm unsure if they really should have angled towards Youngsta's sound... Hes already been so influential and so much of th erelated genre is modeled after his style they could've pushed out the boat with originality.

Not to get me wrong though its till great.

don't have time to read this right now but suffice to say the first 12 on swamp81 grabbed my attention like nothing in dubstep in a couple of years.

top, top interview.
loving the fact that theres still people being frank about the scene. also glad people are being urged to stick to their guns and make music they like. too much hype around creating a sound to fit in.
Loefah has a fantastic vision and rather than people follow suit i hope people, myself included can continue being ourselves and keeping the sound fresh.

Top, top interview. Loefah has a fantastic vision and hopefully people will continue to be themselves and push their own sound rather than trying to fit in.
Love the bit touching on Sea Of Tears. i listen to this track all the time. a personal favourite and a beautiful piece of music.
Blackdown, you're a good man. Frank interviews like this are refreshing to read

Bloody hell - I was just listening to the Kryptic Minds mix then when it was done I dragged a load of Future Sound of London music into Media Player...and the FSOL Essential Mix from 1994 (which I haven't listened to for years) has the exact same sample - "I realise nothing we've been doing is new. We haven't been tapping into new areas of the brain, we've just been awakening the most ancient...". Proper freaked me out that!
The Kryptic Minds mix is the best thing I've listened to this year

as has been said - great interview. always an interesting conversation - the emergence and stagnation of scenes, with the most important thing always being to do what it is in your heart (cheesy but so true). when people do otherwise is when the shit leaks into scenes, and seems to infect eveything else, like what's happened to coki's sound.
I've been hearing some really nice new 2step-styled stuff recently, but can really hear the influence of burial in a lot of it, which is no bad thing, up to a point..
new burial material is always a treat, and vs. loe!..
nice one martin. insightful and on point as always.
