I believe I have seen some of his films. I remember 10,000 maniacs and I'm sure there are more. I love that type of movie but I don't see many anymore. Its great that you can work so hard and be able to unwind with your movies. I love reading your blog with all the details and pictures.

I'm sure you have, I don't think anyone in the family got away without seeing at least this one and Bloodfeast....I also remember laughing at the acting in Color Me Blood Red with you.
Some of these films might have been forgotten if it weren't for the efforts of a few people bringing them first to VHS and then to DVD, so a whole new generation can enjoy. Thank god for places like Something Weird where films like these get to have a home.
I love movies of all kinds, and lord knows I go to the cinema enough, but sometimes I need to get away from the slick and flashy world of CG effects and pretty people and revel in the fringe, baby. H.G.'s movies may have been made in a matter of days for less than the catering budget on some films now, but he has said that his primary job was to entertain, and I think he did a wonderful job of that. I have never not been entertained by an H.G. Lewis film, not once.
And thanks for saying nice things about my blog!

One day when you come to Michigan you will have to bring your collection so I can copy some. I have been slowly trying to get all the movies on our google list. By the way have you been updating that or checking it out?
