Sorry but it's a private company, they can do what they want. It's amazing how a company that has accepted fault and is paying more than the cap for the cleanup is still being accused of trying to avoid paying. This is another case of Dems making companies out to be evil because they pay bonuses (Excluding those who received Government aid, they shouldn't be using tax funds for bonus money)

What Atrios said. The smart thing for BP to do is funnel all its cash out the door in the form of executive bonuses and stock dividends.No cash on hand, gosh we can't afford to pay for the cleanup, or the liabilities, or the punitive damages...
