Just wondering about the I'm Sorry Board Game, I'm trying to print out the board but nothing happens with the link. Do you think yu could point me in the right directions.
Objectives: The children will be able to

- discuss that Jesus and God love us no matter what mistakes we have made
- discuss that Jesus and God forgive us and that we must forgive others too
- state what they should say when they do something wrong
- state what they should say when someone says I’m sorry

I'm Sorry/Forgive Word Wall Words- Word wall templates are large flash card printables that you can hang on the wall to aid children when they are learning or using new vocabulary words.

Introduce story: When has someone said I’m sorry to you? How did you feel when they told you that they were sorry? What did you say to them? What should you say to them?

Introduce activity: What do you say when you do something wrong and we really mean it?
Play-Doh Mistakes
Give yourself and each child a lump of Play-Doh and let everyone create obiects. Admire the work of the children and show them what you made. Ask: Have you eyer been looking at something that belongs to someone else and you accidentally break it? Break your own object in half. Ask: How do you feel when you accidentally break something? Say: When we do something wrong we feel bad, especially if we do it by accident. But if we say we’re sorry it helps makes things better. Repair your Play-Doh creation.
Saying Sorry Feels Good
(You'll need pictures of common situations where something happens. You can find them in magazines and children’s books.)
Have children sit in a circle. Show them one of the situation pictures. Ask: What happened in this picture? How do the people in the picture feel? Why does this person feel angry, sad, happy, sorry? Point to each of the people in the picture and ask: What would you do if you were this person? How would everyone in the picture feel if this person (point to the person in the picture who has hurt someone) said “I’m sorry?” Show the children other situations and repeat the questions. Say: When we hurt someone, saying “I’m sorry,” can help everybody feel better if we really mean it.

The Prodigal Son Comes Home Game- A fun board game about the Prodigal Son. The object of the game is to get your markers to the banquet. (Super Bible Game Book by Linda Standke, page 95 - 106 for directions, game board markers, game board, and game cards).
Pin the Tail on the Pig- This is another way to do "Pin the Tail on the Donkey". Make a large pig out of pig paper. For the tail, use pink ribbon and pin the tail on the pig using a push pin.

I’m Sorry: As players move around the game board, they are given fictitious situations in which they have done something wrong. The player must then apologize to the person to his/her left for the situation on their card and they must be specific with their apology. They must say something like, “I’m sorry I took your video game,” instead of “I’m sorry.” The player that they apologized to must then say, “I forgive you.” Teaching children to apologize and to seek forgiveness from family and friends will encourage them to do so with God. The player then must also say what they should do to correct their mistake and/or what consequences should happen to them so they will learn to take responsibility for their actions. If the player apologizes correctly for the situation they receive a token. If a player lands on “Lose 1 Token” they must forfeit one token. The player at the end of the game who has the most tokens wins.
A Story About Two Sons- The two sons in the story acted very differently from one another. Look at each row of pictures. Which object is different from the others? (Big Puzzles for Little Hands: Jesus’ Life and Lessons by Carla Williams, page 63).
