thanks for stopping by yesterday. I posted today about your Good Shepherd lesson plans. We've just started with the coloring page, and plan to do more, but if you want to check it out here's my post. http://lovemylittleflower.blogspot.com/2010/04/holy-spirit-teaches.html
During the Month of May -- a month both named for and dedicated to Mary -- Catholics have long honored her by placing a crown on her image. The tradition in the United States and many other countries has been for school children to have a "May Crowning" ceremony, with a procession, pretty dresses and a wreath of fresh flowers that one child gets to place on the statue. A song for these festivals, "Bring Flowers of the Fairest", with its refrain "O Mary, we crown thee with blossoms today, Queen of the Angels, Queen of the May..." has been a familiar favorite for generations.
Here are some activities to help you celebrate the Crowning of Mary:
Mary is the Mother of Our Church- lesson plan for 1st grade on up with: Objectives, Review, Vocabulary Words, Bible Story with questions, Activities, Crafts, Games, Snacks, Puzzles/Mazes/Worksheets
Rosary- references, activities, coloring, crafts, games, puzzles, worksheets, etc.
Rosary Lapbooks- is a creative way for children to record information they are learning and create attractive presentations of that information, as well as use the information to study.
The Catholic Toolbox- Hail Mary Activities
Coloring, games, puzzles, worksheets, etc.
