Seriously. I think around 80% of the moms that email me for advice or what have you are military wives. It's so heart breaking.

Would LOVE to know what the environmental/toxin trigger is.

I'm not surprised by the 1 in 100 number. It's sad that it's gotten this out of hand, but maybe someone will listen.

As a former military wife, (our son was 6 mo when my husband retired...I must say the military docs are extremely religious about your kids getting their vaxes on time. You don't get your kids taken care of: they can call your commander. Autism is causing a HUGE problem at overseas bases according to a counselor I know who is posted overseas.

My take-home message from public health administrators is that the benefits of vaccination outweigh the risks. So that means policies remain unchanged until 51% of consumers are injured, right? As the numbers of required vaccines increase, we're headed toward that "critical mess." As Bono sang, what more in the name of love?

Have you heard an update on this?

BTW, I've added your blog to my autism blog list. I'd love for you to add mine if you get a chance. :)

My kiddo with ASD was actually accidently overvaxed.

I ditto what Patti said. I won't even take my kids to the military clinic; I sign them up for Tricare Standard and get civilian doctors for them. If I HAVE to take them to the clinic for an emergency or something and they give me the "are their shots up to date" question, I just answer "yes". As far as I'm concerned, they are (we are delayed, selective vaxers
