The riding mower wouldn't start the first of the season, so $150 later (Hubby doesn't know how to repair things) we cut our huge lawn and outlying areas. Next time we went to start it, nothing... He pulled out the weedeater, it was dead too. We borrowed the neighbors mower finally because the grass was getting way to tall and when it dries out, we'd have major fire danger. My hubby did all the stuff that he wasn't supposed to do after his back surgery. I told him don't whine if it causes problems...

I have cats, so I do have an idea what the styrofoam looks like. ;)

Hubby is the same way, and I am too, to a point. I get headaches if I do too much though, because I don't sweat. I glisten.
I can feel the pressure in my head when I've been in the sun for too long, so I try to be sure to drink water, though usually I don't remember until it's too late.

Good luck and be careful!

My, how familiar this sounds, Gail. My hubby is out of town during the week, so what he doesn't get done on the weekends... you know the rest.

Don't overdo, young lady. Don't need two of you in poor health. :)

If it we up to me I would just use round up on the tall weeds...but my husband is patient and walks all over the yard. Hang in there Gail..there are some jobs that are just a struggle to do alone:(

Wow, you did allot. I learned the hard way if hubby sits down and stops doing things. You will not get him going again. You have to let him learn the hard way what he can and can not do. Or her will take the comments to heart and stop trying. When he finds things getting harder to do. I am sorry to here of all he has been through. And know how hard it was for you. Sending a big hug.

I don't know how you do it all, Gail. And that's the truth.

Oh Gail this is tough work. I can feel your aching(numb arms. I hope your husband is on the mend. You should not do so much either, I know this is hard.
Good news oh I mean bad news, I broke our lawnmower on Sat. seems you cannot drive over a big rock and the belt not snap in half. The belt costs almost $200. good thing we sold that scrap. What a vicious circle we are on.
Take care my friend. B

Whew! I'm exhausted! Who knew one could ever run out of a gas in a weed eater. Impressive!
Maybe you should move here where there are no weeds to eat...or grass for that matter.

Hard to grow and green up without any rain. And we have none. bah!

But on the positive side...I don't have to strain myself mowing in the hot sun, lol!
