Now, I'm not a country girl or anything, but I DO know you shouldn't be walking in a creek with FLIP FLOPS! What are you, NUCKING FUTS!!! My heart was pounding and I thought for sure a snake would come out and I could just hear you laugh and say, "This one's for YOU PAT!!"
I DID enjoy listening to the birds and the water and your voice. Thanks for the tour. And THANKS for no snakes. :)
i am assuming you got out of the creek and did not die from snake bite since you were able to do this post... LOL i liked hearing your voice, makes me feel like i know you better..
Cute post. I guess I'm in the minority that your walk and possible snake encounter didn't bother me. I would have been watching for spiders hanging in the trees and miss the moccasin biting my foot.
I doubt if I'd walk the water in Flips, but the whole adventure brings back memories of days spent at Indian and Dusinberry Creek.

smiles...your voice is rather soothing as you walk us down or up the creek...i love playing in the creek and seeing all the life...maybe catch a salamander or crawdad...watch out for helgramites....smiles...

Gail, this was just the most fun ever!! I shared the videos with my husband who often refers to himself as a "corn-fed farmboy". You have the sweetest, most beautiful voice, it was captivating! We chuckled at you wearing flip-flops and I told him of the photo walks you've taken us on at your beautiful farm. I so hope you'll do more of these, showing us more of where you live, the critters, the rock garden, etc. It was wonderful... well, except for that casual mention of SNAKES! Papa Bear is cool with snakes, me... well, he can tell you a story about how fast I can move up a hill when I see snake!:))
