I was just thinking this might be in reference to any of the dogs you adopted or animals about your farm which give you the same feeling. I loved this poem and smiled while reading it.
Good attempt! :) That picture is just TOO funny! ;)

This isn't terrible at all; you've made really good use of anaphora both at the start of your lines and within them. I really enjoyed reading it, and I find those puppy eyes hard to resist too ... smiles

You know, Gail, for me anything with a dog is a work of art and I see this as a happy, effective use of the prompt. And the photo is too cute.
I loved this... you're letting that marshmallow heart show! I can imagine that a good number of critters owe their lives and wellbeing to your generosity and care. And how good it feels when we are able to help those who ask so little of us and give so much love in return. This was a great piece of writing, loved the form!

I think this is adorable. I have a dog just like you do. No one wanted her and she's happy now.
Have a terrific day. ☺

I love your feeling for animals, and it comes through very strongly here.
Which makes it a good poem.

Not terrible at all! This reminds me of how we met our "Munchie" dog three years ago!
