Big old burn piles, another big part of living in the country. I love the smell of a burn pile fire on the weekends in the country. I can only imagine the work all of you have to do At the Farm. We can barely keep up with our Tiny Ten. Someday, as we get older even 10 will be too much.
Your post reminds me of the work that will be ahead in a few weeks when we return to Washington State for the summer! However, I'm looking forward to it..
I, too love to burn things, hehehe, it's sorta like out with the old! Danny loves to cut or push it down, obviously by the looks of my yard right now, and then I love to have it burned too!!!! Can Bev come to Va for a few days or maybe a good week?? I'll feed her good!!
There are redbud tree limbs everywhere from the winter and a huge poplar tree that he just pushed down to build a garage. But it will lay there for a while before he gets this big one cleaned up!!
[Image]First you have to make a plan. Many important jobs are neglected in the planning stage and fail in their completion. Here Hubby and Bev discuss the outcome they hope to achieve.
[Image]The pushing begins[Image]...and continues. These downed trees are left from the tornado and the ice damage of last year and year before last. Takes a little while to catch up on this acerage.[Image]Posts are cut, firewood is cut and the leftovers are burned.[Image]Every day Bev gets more cleared, by hand.[Image]We use every thing we can.

Do you have a fireplace or a wood stove in your house, Gail?
