I have been to the canyons out west, including Bryce Canyon and the Grand Canyon (though we didn't stay as long as I would have liked). It was the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone that took my breath away. That park was stunning and I think if I lived there for 10 years, and explored the park each and every day, there would still be new things to explore or new opportunities to enjoy, like the landscape's beauty after rainstorms.

I'm glad you've been getting some rain and hope the weather pattern sticks around through the year.

I think I'd be smiling too, if I was out on that climb. Your Rock Hollow is indeed beautiful with all that newly fallen rain. I noticed Lizzie standing like she owned the Hollow. I especially like that photo with the large bolders covered in moss. Lovely colours. Great Post Gail.

Gail,
Rock Hallow is beautiful. Talk about a beautiful place to walk to and just relax. Water, rocks, moss, trees and the beautiful smells are so calming. I love walking out in Mother Nature, it always makes me feel energized and thankful.

I would have liked to have been there with you to have felt the excitement also. The water looks so lovely and clear. I bet you can cup your hands and drink it without a worry. You would never have to go thirsty. You do live in a magical place.

Gail, thank you for sharing your walk. We have a small pond and creek on our property & it always amazes me what rain brings & uncovers. Nature aways seems to be at her best after a fresh soaking & cleansing rain

What a beautiful place and I agree with all those rocks along that path I'm sure there used to be a continuous stream of water running through there.
What a wonderful place to own.

Woohoo...congrats on the badly needed rain. Any ice???

Here the rains came, freezin' rain thunderstorms, ice then a little snow to top things off. Ya gotta love that pink lightnin'!

Beautiful pictures as usual my friend.

God bless and have a great day. I'm hunkered down feedin' the fire today.

I felt like I was walking along side... except I had to imagine the sound. Maybe it was a good thing I couldn't hear it... or I'd be heading to the bathroom!
What fun to follow it all the way to the creek. Next... you'll be following the creek to the river! (Did you ever read "Paddle to the Sea"? It was one of my boys' favorite books.)
