"Jalen then immediately assumed the role of Tony Phillips, while our third baseman played Dennis Eckersley... and this happened."

If I were a hacker with a malicious mindset, I would have replaced that video with Alomar's ALCS home run...

This piece had the feel of release like you were able to FINALLY get some references you've been sitting on into a post.

Major League? Check.

Bugs Bunny/baseball? Check.

A's win 1909 (not a typo) World Series? Check.

Congrats, Cam.

Is J's next game tonight? If I can get out of here, I'll swing by.

@Mex -- Yup, 5:00 PM. And, you forgot the WWE clips. Honestly, I'd finish these posts HOURS earlier if I didn't try'n find the PERFECT grimace from Booker T.

@Jeff -- Ah, the 1992 ALCS. The series where LaRussa had McGwire (42 HR) bunt a runner over. Good times.

Great. Now I got Jim Mora's squeeky voice in my head.

Maybe if I imagine Jalen using that voice for "I'm batting last?!?"

Yeah, that's better.

So many things to add:
Lakisha was also know as "Stretch"
You are one of those dads
Your mom played the "Bagger Vance" role to that kid
Maybe your team's manager has been studying the splits more than you have. I'm sure there is a reason for this.
Feels good to play the "socialism card" doesn't it?

@Smitty -- Not gonna lie...I enjoyed the "socialism" lesson. Next, I'm gonna buy one of those melodramatic "I want my country back" bumper stickers.

Also, not since Derek Bell has an African-American player been treated worse by his manager. Keep ya head up, Jalen!
