Daily Kos :: Privilege; What it Means to be White. This is something I never truly appreciated when I was a young man.  I used to jokingly refer to my immunity from profiling, but it took me a long time to imagine myself in the opposite position.  Frankly I don't know how I'd contain myself if the shoe was on the other foot. 
We need to change a lot of things.  A good place to start is stop and frisk, and ending the insane, unjust and outrageously costly "War on Drugs".
