I went to this school from 1st through the 4th grade, it was white frame then and the door we used the most to get in was the one on the right in the middle picture. When you entered there was a stair up to the class room and the landing for the stair going down in the basement. We had water in the building and oil burner heat, but the out houses were still in use. We had two swings, one teeter tarter, a slide and a merry go round. We had a phone. Near as I can tell because the location of this school is on the far south east corner of the Township agreements had to be made and signed for the kids in Wayne, Richland and Scotch Grove townships for their kids to come here The original school was probably built in the 1890's at this location, and replaced in the late 1930's.
