That looks awesome. I can't wait to see the finished college! I do have a question about the strings. Do you count every ten blocks and so on for the section you are on? I'd love to learn how to do that! And so not nerdy on the doilies! I wish I could do that too. I'm only good at cross-stitch!
Great work on College. :) I just checked out the knit lace. Wow. I've only seen doilies crocheted. I've never seen them knit like that. I can't wait to see what you are able to knit.
College looks fantastic! It must be nice to be able to work on it a little more now that you are moved out. I agree with Veronica, be proud to be a nerd, it means we are special, (and very smart!) can't wait to see some doilies, I don't even own any!

Things are starting to settle down here. In two and a half weeks we move into our apartment and the movers should bring our things by July 20. Until then, I'm working my rotation again with the three pieces I have: College, Middle Earf, and Medieval Shelf, with College getting the most attention. I've never worked it in 10 hour rotations before and I'm playing catch-up with my "deadline" schedule (as seen on my left sidebar) so I can finish by Christmas. I'm liking it so far.

I read Theresa's blog at OctoberLace's Stitching and Knitting Notes and discovered something I never knew existed: knit lace. It's beautiful and I want to be able to do it. So I bought some yarn, found some patterns online, and have started practicing. Right now I'm on simple patterns, and I think it's going well. Keep in mind that I'm learning everything from the very beginning. I've been bookmarking youtube videos and reading websites and trying to expand my very minuscule knowledge. Once I feel confident enough in what I'm producing, I'll show you guys but for now, I'm focusing on getting better, and stitching of course!
How nerdy is it that I'm totally excited to be able to stitch my own doilies?
