As much as I hate to see things close or go away....that building is in serious condition. It has been in bad shape for quite some time.

The building is in bad shape and has been vacated for a while now, but it's a damn shame about Maria's. I've been eating there for years. They take care of the people in the neighborhood. I've seen them just give food to hungry people who asked for it. They give work to the crazy people on the corner. This is the kind of business that makes a neighborhood great.

As a resident of this block I'm sad to see Maria's go. Sad they could not find somewhere closer by to continue to serve the area. However this building has been vacant for quite a while now and is clearly unstable. Glad to see something finally happening.

I'm afraid of what a new building there will be.

I agree with 7:31am. NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

That's one street away and I've been dreading the gentrification of that block. The construction noise, the horror, the buttholes moving in.....

(The culture of lower Ave C)

Will miss Maria's

I used to hate Fine Fair but I'm changing my mind. Keep it ghetto, Fine Fair!
