Fascinating! I stumbled on your blog and I think if you are interested in the Sanson family, you would enjoy The Executioner's Heir, a new novel about Charles-Henri Sanson.

This was really interesting to read. I am myself very interested in the Sanson family´s history and love to read every bit of information I can find.

Very interesting photo too, I wonder If I´m related to her too? Its funny how I play the cello and a bit violin and want to be a doctor, ha ha. Thankfully not all things run in the family anymore!

Hello,
I am trying to trace my lineage and suspect that the Sanson's of the Guillotine are the same that I share a history with. Do you have any other information on Henri Clement Sanson? It seems here I lost a generation right where I need it most! Any information would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

In the Japanese manga of Shinichi Sakamoto ("INNOCENT" and "INNOCENT ROUGE") the story of the Sanson family is explained very well, it is exciting and the drawing is exquisite.
