I am so glad I found you!
I was researching women's hairstyles from the 1850's to the 1860's.
I recently bought a giant pier mirror that is adorned with what looks to be symbols of mourning and includes two large cameos. I think one is a young girl and the other is her mother.
I have never seen anything like it.
I will photograph it tomorrow, in the light of day and place photos on my blog.
