true it is an appalling state of affairs
but remember india has had only 60 years of indeprndene where was us after 60 years of independence it was in a state where laws abided restricted to cities ppl killed each other due to trivial matters and there was no wheat rice to eat
imagine had us or uk be under the rule of another country for 200 years wud it have recovered the way india has unfortunately
so
the factors that catalysed child beggary are
unlike vietnamese who were given education etc by french
england simply sucked on indias blood no literacy nothing
all other factors are repurcussions to the first add to it politics and corruption and u get child beggary
whatever this might be
one very morally inhumane thing is tourist taking pictures of indian beggars to make a mockery . if u can help .help
if u cant atleast dont spread hopelessness a word from the wise not sure whether to the wise can apply or not

Yes, though most of this is true but India just got its independance 60 years ago! For 200 years the British robbed us, supressed us, and fed on our resources and treasures. India is a developing country, though the progreses and changes are slow, but it it happening. Beggary isd prevelant in INdia, but it is a form of corruption. We are trying to provide education to all, but it is a little difficult! We are a country of 1.3 billion people! I am not proud of it, but it is bound to take time to provide resources like education, housing, etc to all! You gave the little girl 100rs! I am sure you felt good, but that is not right! You are encouraging them to beg! Since you gave her the 100rs she now thinks that if she will beg, follow ppl around all day, they will give her money! I have emotions, and i feel very bad when i see the little kids tapping on car windows asking for money, but in order to curb this form of corruption i refuse to give her money, instead i tell her to stop begging. India is an emerging power, soon it will lead, and because we would all be literate and unified.
