Dear Joan

I like your post a lot. I am from Delhi and scenes like such are not new to me but you would be glad to know that government has been really successful in abolishing this malpractice from at least few areas. We have many evening and morning schools for such children where they are not just provided with education but also food. With this I would like to invite you to India once again so that you could see the difference, whatever small big it is, in regard with child beggars and laborers.
Regards

Pallavi

Pallavi, I'm very late in thanking you for this comment--but it is my dream to go back to India very soon. And I look forward to learning more about the help and educational opportunities for these children.
