Ah...he emerges! It's good to see another of your wonderful paintings, Frank. Thanks. Sounds like it was a very productive trip. Can't wait to hear more.

Thanks Christine. The seaweed and stones was the toughest part on this one. I wanted a solid block in with simple shapes. Seaweed does not really fit into that theory. I had painted more of it in one area, but later knocked it out. Was too distracting.
I need more time on the beach so I can work on that more :-)

Thanks David. Simple was the target on this.

Thanks Susan. I'll have some more up soon.
It was a pretty productive week. I had hoped for a few more, but I am happy with what I painted.

Beautiful the way you got the sunbleached, washed out look of a very simple singular image.
It's hard to do simple- this effectively.

Looking forward to seeing the rest of them. Sounds like it was a productive trip. Nine!

Hi Frank-- I love the dinghy colors. Sounds like you got a lot of painting done!

Really a fine job, Frank! Making it look this easy is a very difficult task, as they say. Loads of "personality" in the dingy!

Thanks Bonnie! I'll get another post up tonight.

Thanks Alicia!

Hi Jennifer, Thanks.

Thanks Dean. Yeah, it is not as easy as it may look sometimes.

Of all the recent boat pieces, this one stands out. I think it's as much to do with the scale of the subject (closer in) as with the fresh color and bravura paint handling.

It's very charming!

Thanks Jason.
You seem to understand exactly what I was going for in this one.
