Thanks Mike. I'm a little nervous about the article, but I have seen the draft, so there won't be any surprises at least.

Such a beautiful palette Frank! It just looks so beautiful where you are! I also really love the photo you posted of your easel amidst a herd of cattle, it's hilarious! Nothing that fun ever happens in Halifax..

I think it is a beautiful area. It has a real special feel to it.
I'm glad you got a chuckle out of the plein air hazard.
If I had a finished painting on there I would have been a little more worried.

Excellent article, Frank--and lots of great tips on color mixing. I love what you said about thinking of angles as hands on a clock (excellent way to visualize it), the rule of five (much needed), your advice on pre-mixing a variety of hues (can't wait to try that), deciding on the breakpoint value (I've never thought of organizing values that way before) Also enjoyed seeing the Gruppe palette...

I'm glad that you enjoyed the article Faye. Molly Siple did a good job of organizing my ramblings. I'm still waiting to see the mag. but I received some more positive emails today, so that is good.
Thanks for the support.
