Huh, I always thought that these tickets were made in a long strip rather than a big sheet. Did somebody have to tear each one of these off of the sheet individually??

Major: the technique is called Full Bleed printing that permits a color to reach the edge of the paper without a white border. The tickets are "gang printed" on a sheet as you see here, then cut into individual tickets that are slightly smaller than the printed area. Perforations would have been added at that time to detach the stub.
