I was about 12 when this version of the Guidebook came out, and was always frustrated that the building outlines looked NOTHING like the actual attraction.

This was one of my favorite editions too. Not sure if it stands out because we went to the park a lot that year, or if they reused the pictures on later booklets, but I remember the blonde girl very clearly.

Thanks for this post. Like the Major and KG, I spent a lot of time poring over this, memorizing every detail.

Same here. I keep the guidebooks for years and often pulled them out before a Disneyland trip just to prepare myself for the big day. I also loved View Master reels of Disneyland, especially pictures inside dark rides.
