WOW... I had a chance to buy an unused 1955 ticket book, but backed out due to the price. I kind of regret it now...

Ah, ticket books...

I've been collecting Disneyland stuff for over 20 years now. (yipes!)

Although I have a pretty well rounded collection, I've generally kept away from getting too caught up in the ticket-mania aspect of the park. Too specific and unending, not to mention pricey. The variations can get nuts.

I was lucky enough to get one of these. I paid through the teeth, but I felt if I should have one ticket book to represent the essence of Dland tix, what should it be?

An early 1955 ticket book is about as good as it gets.

Great post!

Picklebarrel, I'm sure that all of the reasons you listed for not wanting to collect the tickets are exactly the reasons why Tim WANTS to collect 'em! Except for the pricey part.

Picklebarrel, you are right about the pricey part, you may notice that the Zillion dollars tickets I post are rarely mine, I get sweaty & nervous if any item costs me more than ten bucks!

Major is correct about the "too specific and unending" part, its what makes it such a fun challenge, there is always some ticket/paper item from the park that I've never seen, I can't image ever collecting them all, but someday I will try to document them all :-)
