Great trip report(s) and terrific photos! Sorry to hear about your camera. That happened to me on the second to last day of a Florida trip, so I didn't get any pics at Universal Studios or Busch Gardens, darn it! Fortunately all my WDW Parks photos survived.

That footprint from the abominable snowman has been in the park since the remodel of the Matterhorn in 1978. There used to be two of them....one in a planter in front of the entrance to the Matterhorn and one at the edge of the Alpine Gardens/Triton's Fountain area. Maybe they moved that one when Pixie Hollow was built.

Are there still some walkways or "caves" behind the waterfalls at the DL Hotel? I haven't been back around there since before Downtown Disney was built.

The only time I've ever been actively creeped out at Disneyland is when I found myself all alone over by those fountains after midnight. Not only did I feel like I was the only one around for miles, but those waterfalls are deafening and spooky. Yes, you can still walk around and behind them, during the day.

The restrooms in the Tiki Rm must be original, or nearly so. I remember when it first opened, the attraction was outrageously popular and the waits were interminable. Once inside the compound, there was no access to outside facilities (just across the concourse). So these were very necessary in 1963.

Now, it's rare to wait longer than one performance to get in. Still the same show, still a wonder. One of my favorites.

Thanks for this long-forgotten detail.
