I have one of these that I bought at Disneyland back in 1992. I thought it'd be a cool keepsake, and always had the intention of having it mounted in a nice frame. That never happened as it's sitting in a box of Disneyland stuff in a closet - lol. I wonder if it's worth anything to collectors?

I'm not sure the park is making money, even now. A friend of mine said, "Disney should just close it!". Well, I don't know about that... it looks like a beautiful park. Like you, I am somehow nostalgic for when it was called Euro Disneyland.

Disneyland Paris is a great park. For one thing, they serve alcohol. I also prefer the castle to that of all the other parks. You can tell they spent a lot of money on the place as everything looks fantastic and there is a real attention to detail. It also has a good number of attractions (unlike Disneyland Hong Kong where I recently rode Space Mountain five times over the course of a slow day as there were so few other attractions even after the opening of a new Toy Story land). As for the rebranding of the Paris park – 'Euro-'was used as a prefix for so many things during the early 1990s in the wake of the Maastricht Treaty and it soon grew dated and passé-sounding. And of course now, what with all the troubles the Euro currency has been having (thanks primarily to the Greeks), I'm sure that Disneyland is glad not to have the word as part of the park's name!

The "Euro" name was also dropped because of too many bad (English") jokes connected to "urine" and "urology" too!

Yes, the Park is quite a success here; please, do be convinced that French people and/or French Disney cast members are systematically rude; a rude person can be from any origin ... and generations do change! Actually, "French" Disney cast members are fomm all over Europe, and tend to be "clones" of other Disney cast memebers anywhere.
And yes, a lot of French do like Disney Parks; let's kill those silly cliched rumors once and for all!

Voilà!

I have one, un used, in perfect condition and would like to sell it. marcfrye@gmail.com. When I bought it in 1992, I thought we would be able to pay for my baby's, now 22, college with the proceeds from selling it. Boy was I optimistic.
