Wow, I'd love to have that painting! Thanks for the Ads, They really are a sign of the times!!!
A few random thoughts on products: Preparation H could give a money back guarantee because it was the original formulation. A few years ago, the government made them take the active ingredient out after 75 years... and the product ... uh.. is.. uh... reputed not to work as well.
The ad for Four Roses got me curious. I'd never heard of the brand before, so when I Googled it, I found out it was mostly "grain neutral spirits" (vodka) as indicated in the small print of the ad.
That did not sit well with me, so I called my Mom up and asked if she had heard of it before. She said, "Yes, it's hooch. All the drunks bought it cause it was cheap. The streets (of Brooklyn) were littered with the bottles. It went well with Guinea Stinkers"*
*For my international readers, a cheap pungent cigar much in favour with the Italian-American communities in the US. The descriptor is considered offensive and should not be confused with the British Guinea, valued at one pound, one shilling.

Welcome to Magazine Monday. “Look”ing way back to November 2, 1954, this issue of Look Magazine has an early article on that new idea called “Disneyland”.

I tried to put the two pages into one file, but it just wasn’t working so I gave up.
